(REFLECTIONS ON Psalm 145:1-21)
2 Everyday I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
No, not just on Sundays, or on days when I have a day off from work, but everyday. Let our praises, let our words and acts to bless the Lord be everyday. May we not take days off from praising the Lord, and blessing His holy name, but may we bless the name of the Lord forever and ever.
More than that, may we also praise the name of the Lord and bless His holy name from generation to generation.
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
Yes, let our testimony of the Lord, His works, and our words and songs of praise be lifted up everyday, forever and ever, and from generation to generation. Let us meditate on His wonderful works, what He has done in our life, and the lives of the stories we hear, and praise His works from generation to generation.
When we praise, and share our praise, and celebrate the praises of others, it will be a glorious sound to the Lord, one that comes from the mouth of His people daily, forever and ever, and from generation to generation.
This reminds us that the Lord’s works, His blessings, and His authority isn’t just for one people in one generation, but for all the world, from all generations, and forever and ever.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
Yes, the Lord’s dominion endures throughout all generations, and so let us participate in this sharing of His works in praise from generation to generation.
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
