Why fellowship? Because God calls us to live in community as we grow in faith together. Acts 2:42 "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
At EM, we fellowship informally before and after Sunday worship service. After service is an opportune time as we enjoy a lunch together. Other times include our outreach activities or holiday events. Many EMers also meet outside of church-planned activities to build up their relationships.
However, the main aspect of genuine fellowship at EM is through carecells, which are small groups of EMers, who gather for about two hours on a weeknight to encourage and build up one another. The agenda varies but often include icebreakers and thought provoking questions, growing in God’s Word, praying together and for one another, singing and sharing to glorify God, and even events outside of carecell time.
